About the event
“When only 11% of providers can identify the prevalence of endometriosis in the population and >57% are uncomfortable managing endo, and 75% of patients report being dismissed as neurotic and there are 176,000,000 of them worldwide, we have a crisis.”
-Nancy Nook Peterson RN
In the interest of encouraging collaborative care, this workshop is open to medical providers, people with diagnosed, or suspected endometriosis, and anyone else who would find this information useful. Endometriosis is life altering at best, and life threatening for many. You and your patients deserve the most up to date, evidence based information and treatment options.
For patients: learn how to advocate for yourself, how to find proper care, and how to actually get symptom relief.
For providers: The average diagnosis time is 7 years from onset of symptoms. Be part of the SOLUTION not the problem. People with endometriosis can suffer for decades because of misinformation about the cause, treatment options, and the reality of living with the disease.
This workshop consists of a 2 hour interactive lecture, followed by an hour of collaborative group learning where people are able to ask personal questions, and go over case studies.
